the love manifesto
We’ve all tried to find love in many ways and places, oftentimes falling out of it or being broken by it. We’ve grown up with this fascination of love as the end-all, be-all to our lives’ wants and needs. But what if love wasn’t just a set of rules and expectations that we’ve conditioned ourselves to believe? What if finding love meant the total surrender of heart and life to the pursuit of a fantastic adventure? What if the journey of finding love meant finding something worth far more?
The Love Manifesto takes readers on a poetic journey into the depths of the soul through the memoirs of Kuya Paul, a young man who’s experienced passionate struggles, agonizing failures, and exhilarating victories. In this book, Kuya Paul reflects on his ventures of dating, romance, family bonds, and friendships, through the voice of poetry and spoken word. He challenges readers to take on their own quest to find, discover, or even to rekindle love.
Kuya Paul is a Filipino-American artist born and raised in Los Angeles. Currently residing in Covina, he ministers at Life Christian Fellowship as a local Youth Minister. For the past five years, he has tirelessly pursued his craft of poetry & spoken word, using them as creative tools to spread and express the Gospel of Christ. He has been a featured artist at “MP3”(Charisma Life Center), “The Seed” art show, “Common Ground” open mic, and the Historic Westminster Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles. He is also a regular performer and YouTube content editor at Our Mic, an open-mic workshop in the heart of L.A.’s Arts District.
